Peers' Assignment Answers Preparing to Manage Human Resources




1) In our work environment in our firm "A" ltd we have around 2540 employees and where we they have divided in many parts as technical no technical, supporting staff, field workers, Office equipped. And we provide an internship facility as a part time job for the students, around 50 interns are working as part-time and rest of them are full time employees.     


2) In the firm we do have many roles and responsibilities from top level to the bottom level and we have both top level and bottom type of approach which may be described as triangle shaped. We got the  many division such as Marketing, HR, Data Analyst, finance, operations management and  Supply chain Management etc.
as the HR guidelines we give placement opportunities to the MBA graduates we take campus recruitment where we can get a pool of freshers and we hire the best candidates for the right role and responsibilities.
Research and Development team plays and most import role in A ltd. Concentrated in the innovation and creative minds of the people.  
There is an huge contribution to the CSR activities from the A ltd. 



3) I stick to the example of "A ltd".
In the firm we concentrate on the best creative minds in the organization and also with equal opportunities or contribution in the roles and responsibilities  of the companies. Motivation of the employees or the workers to the firm plays an role where focus into it and we  keep an eye on it.
There are no hide and seek circular in the organization they are widely and openly circulated. they are been trained as of the technological improved in the current scenarios and they are equipped with right information and knowledge.  

4) As i had mentioned earlier we give most priority to the very creative mind and innovation were we concentrate during the placement opportunities and recruitment. We also take care of the employees by implementing training secession for the employs by which they can improve and develop an creative mind get proper knowledge and give a success through the training or the information that have helped them.
As we see that the HR plays an more important role during the recruitment.   


5) As i had mentioned in the previous answer i said that HR plays an Important role in the firm or the organization.
The HR should take care of the incentives and along with the gifts or the bonus which will encourage them to work hard and get a success in the firm. For this process proper funds should be allotted and the allotted funds should be used properly. There should be certain challenges in the firm which they should face and they should solve the problem by which we can keep our employees in a proper condition there should be certain target in the certain stages by which their mind get boosted and which is most required and by which the real talent can be expected in the certain conditions.

6) In the types of HR strategy they are many few examples as follows 
  • Competitive salaries.
  • Enviable benefits packages.
  • Promotion opportunities.
  • Continuous staff training and development.
  • Transparent and regular communications.
  • Focus on employee wellbeing.
  • Investment in corporate social responsibility.
  • Employee autonomy
  
First and foremost, “high road” (HR) denotes a family of strategies for human development under competitive market conditions that treat shared prosperity, environmental sustainability, and efficient democracy as necessary complements, not tragic tradeoffs. 1 HR strategies are both egalitarian and productivist.



7) As we seen in the video lecture on Alternative Managerial Style There are 6 types they are as follows:
  • coercive,
  • authoritative
  •  affiliative
  •  democratic
  •  pacesetting
  •  coaching

In the 6 types there are no best but as per the research the best is  Authoritative : it gives a quick result and Manager has the credibility 
there is also a negative side where employees may become arrogant and become authoritarian
the Authoritative is not an perfect but we need a mixed style or combination of different style   



8) Following are the four factors which influences the external factors: 
  • Competition and consumers
  •  labor markets and demographics
  •  legal and social pressure 
  • technology  

Internal influences are influences that a business has some control over, such influences include :product, location, management, resource management and business culture  
Michel porters 2 business strategies : 
  • Cost Leadership  (includes lows cost)
  • product differentiation (unique feature and quality)
